I wanted to take a moment to send you a note about the FEC deadline that’s coming up on Wednesday.

Look, it’s no secret that Donald Trump and the talking heads at Fox News have bashed me relentlessly over the years to incite the fury of their right-wing base.

So National Republicans from Kevin McCarthy to Mitch McConnell will be closely watching our fundraising numbers coming out of this deadline. They are hoping to see Democrats stumble and come up short as we attempt to defend our razor-thin, 5-seat House Majority in 2022.

That’s why I’m reaching out. I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t critical. We have an FEC deadline goal, and I’m sharing it with you right now, for the first time: We need to reach at least 65,000 contributions for the quarter to have the resources to invest in keeping our House Majority.

And to be honest, I’m not entirely sure we can hit it. But I’ve seen this team exceed my wildest expectations before, and I’m hoping this is one of those times.
