Well, John, this is the actual reason why. ⤵️
Immediately after the end of every quarter, the FEC legally requires us to publish our fundraising numbers. Our opponents, reporters, and the GOP will all be looking closely for any sign our campaign is slowing down. The political media would jump at the chance to publish a story about our campaign falling short of our end-of-quarter fundraising goal of $100,000.
So, we're emailing you to ask for your help to make sure that doesn’t happen. With all eyes on our people-powered movement, we simply have to ask you:
Will you donate your first $5 before Wednesday's end-of-quarter deadline to help elect John Fetterman to the Senate? This deadline is SO important, that John and Gisele have agreed to personally call a few of the folks who chip in before Wednesday at midnight to say thank you. Because they know donating to a campaign is a big deal.
The moment the FEC reports go live, our opponents and the press will be looking eagerly to see exactly how much we've raised, as well as how many grassroots supporters are proud to be with John in this fight to flip this open Senate seat.
They'll see this report as a sign of what kind of campaign we'll be able to build — and a sign of whether we have what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the PA GOP.
