Brian Kemp slammed Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms over her poor response to surging crime in the city.

Nebraska governor sending state troopers to southern border to meet Abbott request
What Happened:
Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts announced this week that he will send state troopers to Texas in order to aid law enforcement dealing with the crisis at the southern border.
Why You Should Care:
With the Biden Administration pretty absent and unwilling to help fix the border crisis, Gov. Ricketts responded to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s request for governors to consider sending law enforcement to help.
What Happens Next:
More Republican governors are expected to answer Gov. Abbott and Gov. Ducey’s request, and Gov. Ron DeSantis already pledged to send more law enforcement from Florida.

DeSantis Signs Law Requiring Students To Learn ‘Evils Of Communism,’ ‘Real Patriots’ Who Escaped It
What Happened:
Gov. Ron DeSantis signed three bills into law that boost civics education for highschool and postsecondary students in Florida.
Why You Should Care:
The bills require students to learn about the evils of communism and totalitarian regimes in comparison to American principles of freedom and democracy. The legislation also creates a library of personal stories of individuals who escaped communist countries like Venezuela and Cuba.
What Happens Next:
Gov. DeSantis has focused on supporting patriotic education in response to efforts from the left to impose critical race theory-based curriculums in public schools. This legislation seems to be only the beginning of his targeted efforts to protect Florida’s students from divisive and inaccurate education.

'Fed up' Georgia Gov. Kemp rips ATL mayor who blames crime surges on COVID reopenings
What Happened:
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp slammed Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms after she blamed the current crime wave in the city on Republican-led pandemic reopenings.
Why You Should Care:
According to Gov. Kemp, one of the biggest causes of rising crime in Atlanta is the left’s disrespect and poor treatment of law enforcement: "Getting Georgians back to work, back to school, and back to normal didn’t lead to more crime. The left’s anti-police, soft-on-crime agenda is to blame." Who do you think is correct?
What Happens Next:
While crime continues to rise under Mayor Bottoms’ watch, Gov. Kemp has already been helping with a crime suppression unit made of state and local law enforcement. However, this is only a temporary measure so hopefully Mayor Bottoms will step up and allow law enforcement to do its job.
