Friend, there are more than 30 Attorney General elections this midterm season – and our team has identified a few highly “flippable” seats where new Dem AGs could make a massive difference.
But history has shown that we can’t do this without a roaring grassroots network supporting us from Day One. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our races thanks to early investment from supporters like you, and we can’t wait to build on that success.
Texas: AG Ken Paxton – already indicted and possibly facing disbarment – is fighting off a primary challenge. We’re not sure who will prevail as they race past Donald Trump’s radical ideas, but we do plan to give the Trump-loving GOP nominee the fight of their life in the general election.
Florida: GOP AG Ashley Moody has spent the last two years arguing against the Affordable Care Act, acting as Trump’s biggest mouthpiece in Florida, and trying to overturn President Biden’s victory. She has shown a dangerous disregard for our country and democracy.
Georgia: GOP AG Chris Carr won by just 3 percent in 2018. Two years later, Georgia is turning blue with Democrats winning big, sweeping the state's electoral votes and flipping two Senate seats. With your help, we know we can also flip this crucial AG seat next year.
Arizona: Like Georgia, Democrats narrowly missed victory here in 2018, only for Democrats to clinch major wins in 2020. But with current AG Mark Brnovich launching a bid to unseat Senator Mark Kelly, the field is wide open, and we’re mobilizing our resources to flip this seat blue and elect a strong Dem AG in his place.
Kansas: Democrat Laura Kelly won the governorship in 2018 against then GOP candidate Kris Kobach, a pro-Trump extremist. Now, Kobach’s vying for Attorney General, and we’re giving our all to stop him.
If the past few years has taught us anything, it’s this: There are no “unwinnable” states, and down-ballot elections matter immensely. We’re prepared to mount competitive campaigns in every one of these states – because all of these communities deserve an AG who will defend their rights in full.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
