The Republican party has big plans for our country, and none of them are good.

 

The GOP is working to overturn the Affordable Care Act and make voting even more difficult. In Georgia, the Republican Secretary of State just removed 100,000 names from the voter registration rolls, including hundreds of people who simply didn't vote in the past two elections. And the Supreme Court just came dangerously close to overturning the ACA.

 

We can't afford to go backwards, and without strong Democrats in Congress, I'm afraid we will. That's why holding onto our majority in the House is so important, and why I go to work every day ready to put an end to the GOP's regressive plans.

 

But the GOP knows that we're just one Senator and nine Representatives away from a Republican free-for-all, so they won't stop until Congress is back under Republican control.

 

Fighting back against the GOP in Congress is one of the most important parts of my job, and with our re-election campaign underway, I'm concerned that we're still $1,600 behind on our weekly goal.
