In just a moment, I’m going to ask for your donation to help hit our FEC end-of-quarter fundraising goal — but first let me explain why this FEC deadline is so important, and what could happen to our progressive agenda if we fall short.

As Senate Republicans block voting rights and campaign finance reform, Mitch McConnell is gearing up for a campaign of non-stop fear mongering and disinformation against Democrats — and his funds are virtually unlimited.

So make no mistake about it: The 2022 midterm elections will be ferocious, and National Republicans will do and spend whatever it takes to reclaim the Senate majority and halt our progress.

And not only that, we’ll need to buck the historical trends in order to keep our Senate and House majorities. Remember, Democrats lost six seats in the Senate and 63 seats in the House during President Obama’s first term. And this time around, our margins are perilously thin.

I’m personally asking — will you contribute $5, $10, or whatever you can before our FEC deadline? Donations this early make such a tremendous difference in building the campaign infrastructure we need to win.
