Yesterday, I had the honor of presiding over the House Floor for the first
time.

When I rose up on that podium — I wasn’t alone. I brought with me this
movement’s hopes, dreams, and demands of our elected leaders.

I rose up for those who’ve survived police violence.
Who’ve survived abuse.
Who’ve survived being unhoused.
Who’ve survived poverty.

Together, WE—all of us—presided over the House Floor.

I don’t take your support for granted,
John. It’s because of you and
everyone in this movement that we’re able to take on big fights in
Congress and make history every day legislating for the transformative
policies our country needs.

individually for making a donation leading up to our critical FEC

how important it is to put our voices and stories at the center of our
work in Congress because I understand firsthand the impact it has on
families like mine and yours.

I’ve been evicted, unhoused, and lived in a car with my two babies.
I’ve been on the ground brutalized by police violence.
And I’m determined to make sure no one else has to go through these
challenges alone. So when I say this fight is personal for me — I mean it.

I’m beyond proud of all the hard work you and everyone in this movement
has put in to make moments like yesterday possible. But I know that
there’s still so much more we need to do to continue pushing for the
radical change we need.

That’s why it’s important our team reaches our FEC end-of-quarter
fundraising goal next week. Right now, we’re a little bit behind from
where we estimated we’d be by now.
