This weekend, Denver is celebrating Pride month with a 5K run, virtual parade, and in-person hubs! And what better way to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community than passing the Equality Act in the Senate?

Michael is a proud supporter of the Equality Act, legislation that would prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

It’s time for the Senate to stand on the right side of history and pass the Equality Act to finally guarantee protections for LGBTQ+ Americans. Add your name if you agree:

June is Pride Month, a month dedicated to celebrating one’s true, authentic self and remembering the Stonewall riots — a day when brave members of the LGBTQ+ community stood up for their rights.

That day, two transgender women of color — Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera — helped spark the modern LGBTQ+ civil rights movement.

Today, Republicans in Washington want to roll us back to the dark ages. They’ve attacked transgender youth, disguised hate as religious freedom, and put right-wing judges on the courts that could roll back LGBTQ+ protections.

When he was in charge, Mitch McConnell refused to vote on the Equality Act. But now that we have a Democratic majority in the Senate, we can finally bring this bill up for a vote.

Please, add your name to our petition demanding the Senate pass the Equality Act. LGBTQ+ Americans deserve equal rights and protections under the law.
