You cannot change a corrupt system by taking its money.

That is why you will never see Bernie Sanders begging some rich pharmaceutical company executive for campaign contributions.

The American people don’t want it, and frankly those corporations’ financial influence in Washington is why they never lose a fight in Congress. They win, the American people lose. Every time.

And the truth is: all of our opponents should do the same. Reject that money. All of it. Every dime from executives who contribute to protect the profits of a dysfunctional health care system.

That is what we do, and it is one of the reasons Bernie Sanders’ favorable ratings are so high.

So today – especially today – on the day Bernie asked our opponents to take the pledge, we need to ask you:

Can Bernie count on you to make a contribution to our campaign today as a way of saying you have had ENOUGH of health care and pharmaceutical companies' influence in Washington, D.C.?

This pledge is getting a lot of attention, so it’s critical we send a message TODAY that the American people will step up and support campaigns that reject the obscene sums of money the health care industry spends to prop up a dysfunctional system to protect their profits.

All my best,

Faiz Shakir
Campaign Manager
