A former high school cheerleader famously got in trouble for a post she made on social media. She used profanity to insult her school after she was cut from the team. The school found out and suspended her from cheerleading for a year. The problem? She made the post off of school grounds; the school apparently did not have the right to punish her for expressing her opinion. The case made it all the way to the Supreme Court.
