I’ll be the first to admit, 2021 has been nothing short of eventful. In the first quarter of this year, Republicans tried to remove me from the House Intelligence Committee for standing up to their misinformation and cheap tricks, and speaking truth to power.

And thanks to your support, John, we came out of Q1 and our very first FEC Filing Deadline of 2021 stronger than ever.

The GOP feels threatened by the strength of our movement. In the second quarter of this year, Republicans have attacked me and my team with no holds barred.

We learned of the Department of Justice’s probe into me and several of my colleagues orchestrated by Trump purely for political gain, one of Marjorie Taylor Greene’s staffers harassed me in the Capitol for wearing a mask to protect my family, and Mo Brooks threatened to throw me in jail for filing suit to hold him accountable for his actions in inciting the Jan. 6 insurrection on our nation’s capital.

So far we’ve raised just over 75% of our End-of-Quarter goal. It’s going to be tight, but I’m confident in the strength of this grassroots movement. We’ve built a team of supporters right here in California’s 15th District and across the U.S. who are just as fed up with the GOP’s corrupt tactics as I am.

I promise you — I’m fighting like hell to hold Republicans accountable for their actions. I continue to stand up to the fraudulent claims and misinformation spewed by the GOP, I’ve filed suit against those whose words incited the Jan. 6 insurrection, and I won’t stop until the officers who protected us on that fateful day are honored and respected with the answers we all seek from an investigative commission.
