Today is the sixth anniversary of Obergefell v. Hodges, the landmark ruling that
guarantees the right to marry for same-sex couples. This time last year, the
Supreme Court rightfully extended protections against workplace discrimination
to LGBTQ+ Americans.

But it's not enough. On any given day, residents in 29 states can be turned away
from a business, evicted from their homes, or denied credit and health care.
That's more than half of LGBTQ+ Americans subject to discrimination simply
because of who they are.

It's wrong, and it doesn't have to be this way.

The Equality Act would prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity across all areas of life, once and for all -- but it faces a roadblock in the Senate. Will you sign your name and tell my colleagues in the Senate to prioritize this bill? [link removed]

The Equality Act already has the support of over 70% of voters across the
political spectrum. With such broad support from the public and with Democratic
majorities in Congress, momentum is on our side.

Just this week, LGBTQ+ leaders met with top officials in the White House.
President Biden has signaled he wants the bill on his desk. Congress must pass the Equality Act, and it's up to the Senate to get this bill across the finish line. Will you add your name next to mine to show your support for this legislation? [link removed]
