Friend -- sorry to email you on a Saturday, but there are a couple of things Dean didn't mention in his email yesterday, and we cannot let them slide:

1. Last week, 21 House Republicans voted against awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to the police officers who defended the Capitol against the January 6 insurrectionists.
2. This week, all 50 Senate Republicans blocked the For the People Act, the democracy reform bill that Dean has been championing in Congress and which passed the House months ago.

These aren't blips on the radar. They're signs of the growing radicalism of the Republican Party. We need to keep principled leaders like Dean in Congress, and right now, as we approach our official end-of-quarter deadline, is the perfect time to show your support.

Will you chip in $5 or another amount right now to help fend off the National Republican Congressional Committee's attacks and keep Dean's voice in Congress?

Thanks,

Friend,

I'll remember January 6, 2021 for as long as I live.

I was in the House chamber when a mob of insurrectionists broke through barriers, smashed windows, and violently assaulted police to gain entry to the U.S. Capitol where democratically elected officials were certifying the results of a free and fair election, one already certified by each of our states.

In the early morning hours of January 7, after the last insurrectionists had been expelled from the Capitol, the majority of us voted to certify the election. But 147 members of Congress, all Republicans, broke with tradition and voted to overturn the election results.

Think about that.

When I say that the end-of-quarter fundraising deadline coming on June 30 is a big deal, I mean it. The majority of House Republicans have shown that they'll put party over country in the gravest of moments -- and their fundraising organization, the NRCC, has already named me a top target to unseat in the next election.

After June 30, we'll have to publicly report our fundraising numbers for the quarter, showing the world whether this seat is ripe for the taking, or if this grassroots team is as strong as it always has been. So today, I'm humbly asking: Will you chip in to this campaign right now so we can fend off Republicans' attacks?

The NRCC is already supporting dozens of those Republican congress members who voted to overturn the will of the people. And they can spend big: Because while some of America's largest corporations cut off PAC contributions to those Republicans who voted to overturn the election, many of those corporations are still donating to the NRCC.

That is the very organization that's out to get us. I don't take a dime from corporate PACs, special interest groups, federal lobbyists, or other members of Congress -- it's simply the best way to ensure the decisions I make in Congress reflect not the will of corporations, and not the will of an autocrat, but the will of the people.

But that means we have to start raising money extra early to hold strong against the NRCC's attacks. So today, I'm humbly asking: Will you make a contribution today to help us end the quarter strong before our official FEC fundraising deadline?

Thanks,

Dean
