We can always count on Katie Porter to break down important issues on her whiteboard. And because Katie cares so much about doing the math on the numbers behind the issues, we dove into your responses to our survey. Here’s what we found:
- 85% of our survey respondents listed voting rights as one of the top issues they want to see on Katie’s whiteboard. Voting is one of our most critical rights—as Republicans across the country try to strip that right from us, Katie is ready to break down the numbers to end voter suppression and protect the right to vote.
- 78% of our supporters said that getting dark money out of politics was one of their top issues they want Katie to fight for. That’s why Katie is committed to calling out the special interest groups and lobbyists—and demanding accountability from those behind the issues that affect working people most across our country.
- And 76% of you shared the need for urgent action on climate change. The climate crisis is real, and Katie Porter knows we need to take bold, concrete action to combat it. She’s making polluters answer to the families they’ve harmed and cracking down on pollution by closing loopholes that the fossil fuel industry exploits to profit off our public lands.
And that’s not all we heard in our survey. Thousands of you mentioned healthcare, gun violence prevention, affordable childcare, and more—things Katie is fighting for, day in and day out.
