Vice President and “border czar” Kamala Harris is *finally* visiting the border today—begrudgingly. Yet, she’s over 800 miles away from where the worst of the crisis actually is.

She practically had to be forced to go—before former President Trump visits the border next week. Up ‘til now, countless members of Congress urged VP Harris to visit the border herself, and she literally laughed at the suggestion, dismissing it as “political.”

Now, VP Harris’ team is saying the timing of the visit “made sense” for her and those on the ground and claims, “This administration does not take their cues from Republican criticism, nor from the former president of the United States of America.” Sounds political to me.

VP Harris can deny and dismiss that such a crisis exists. She can distract and detract as much as she wants. But she cannot escape the fact that there is a crisis of epic proportions at the border—humanitarian, public health, and national security—the “root cause” of which is her administration’s misguided open border policy. 

While President Biden (who has yet to visit the border) and VP Harris have been blaming responsible American citizens for contributing to the spread of COVID, they aren’t even issuing COVID tests, requiring proof of vaccination, or enforcing quarantine restrictions or social distancing to those coming in illegally at the border. 

It’s senseless and reckless, particularly with the heightened risk and rising spread of the increasingly dangerous COVID-19 variant: the Delta strand. 

It’s time VP Harris addresses the REAL “root causes” of the record surge of illegal migration at the border. Hint: it’s no one else’s fault but her own. It is a direct result of her administration’s failing policies and lead-from-beyond strategies. It’s a free-for-all… literally.

While VP Harris mocks and scoffs at any serious questions and dismisses attempts to hold her accountable, we need you to speak up. We need the world to see that there’s a large and ever-growing movement of common-sense citizens who have had enough of the dangerous policies at the border.
