NH FEDERATION OF REPUBLICAN WOMEN
NH YOUNG REPUBLICANS
NH FEDERATION OF COLLEGE REPUBLICANS
DEAR ,
THIS WEEK GRANITE STATERS HAVE A LOT TO BE EXCITED ABOUT.
We started this week with a strong message for Senators Maggie Hassan
and Jeanne Shaheen - HR1/S1 has no place in New Hampshire and our
elections should be run locally, not federally. More than 30
volunteers rallied outside of Senator Hassan’s office in over
90-degree heat! Demonstrations like this exemplify the incredible
teamwork and willingness of Republicans to ensure our ‘Live Free’
state holds true to its name!
In another extraordinary win for our state, thanks to the direction of
Governor Chris Sununu, Senate President Chuck Morse, and House Speaker
Sherman Packard, Republicans were able to take the lead and truly
deliver for Granite Staters.
This unified effort facilitated long-standing goals to completion.
Through tax cuts, the elimination of the Interests & Dividends Tax,
reduced spending, and an overall balanced approach, we’re putting
money back into the pockets of hard-working NH families. We’ve
expanded education access for students, made measures to prevent
discriminatory language associated with CRT, and are providing parents
with more options than ever before. Best of all, this budget works to
benefit every single Granite Stater, even those yet to be born, having
increased safeguards on our children’s right to life!
Every achievement we make is a testament to the ability of Republicans
to organize, adapt, and persevere for the good of our families, our
state, and our country. I would like to thank all of our Republican
legislators, and leaders for their dedication to seeing this budget
through the finish line.

House Republicans Applaud Signing of State Budget Into Law
_
_
_Concord, NH: Speaker Sherman Packard (R-Londonderry) and Majority
Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) released the following statement after
Governor Sununu Signed HB 1 and HB 2 into law:
_
SPEAKER SHERMAN PACKARD:
“Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed an historic budget
that is balanced and fiscally responsible. Today, Governor Sununu
signed this transformational budget package into law. Republicans
delivered on tax cuts, reduced spending, education freedom, much
needed mental health services and more without raising taxes or
increasing spending. This is one of the most comprehensive budgets we
have seen in years, and it will be the strong foundation needed to
help get New Hampshire families and Main Street businesses back on
their feet and thriving.”
MAJORITY LEADER JASON OSBORNE:
“When the people of New Hampshire put Republicans back in the
Majority in 2020 it’s because we promised to cut taxes, reign in the
Democrats’ bloated spending, and preserve the New Hampshire
Advantage”, said Osborne. “This transformational budget delivered
a $170 million total cut from every tax on the books while still
funding our state’s needs. We empowered families to find the best
fit for their child’s educational needs, passed some needed reform
to the governor’s emergency powers, and put an end to teaching the
unfounded idea that an individual is inherently racist simply due to
the color of their skin. We delivered a $100 million statewide
property tax cut, giving our residents direct relief. Our constituents
demanded results on these issues, and House Republicans united to make
sure we delivered. Granite Staters will be reaping the rewards of this
transformational symphony of reforms for years to come and I look
forward to building on our success next year.”

SENATE REPUBLICAN UPDATE
House and Senate reach budget deal
SPENDING PLAN FOR FY22-FY23 BASED ON GOP AGENDA; WORKS FOR ALL NH!
CONCORD, NH – The New Hampshire House and Senate today reached a
deal on a new state budget for FY22-FY23. Members of the Committee of
Conference on HB2, led by Republicans, agreed on the $13.5B spending
plan for the new biennium beginning on July 1, 2021.
House Speaker Sherman Packard (R-Londonderry), and Senate President
Chuck Morse (R-Salem), issued the following statement regarding the
agreement:
House Speaker Packard:“Today we reached an important milestone in
our state budget process by coming to an agreement with our Senate
counterparts. This budget is a fiscally conservative and balanced
budget that enables New Hampshire families to keep more of their own
hard-earned money by providing tax relief. It helps our business
community thrive and will help sustain our economic growth. It
improves both the education system and boosts much needed funds for
mental health and substance abuse programs. These are promises we made
to the New Hampshire voters in 2020, and these are promises that we
are delivering results on. I recognize all of the hard work and
dedication put into this budget process by both House and Senate
members. I am proud of our citizen legislature’s commitment to
spending tax dollars responsibly. This is never an easy process, but
we were able to come together and agree upon a product that will
enhance our economy and keep New Hampshire moving in the right
direction.”
Senate President Morse:“The budget we passed today reflects the
strong Republican agenda we put forward last January, the same one the
voters supported. It’s balanced, lives within our means, helps
working families, supports Main Street businesses, protects taxpayers,
cares for our most vulnerable, improves education, funds mental health
and substance abuse programs, reduces regulatory burdens and keeps New
Hampshire streets and homes safe.”“I appreciate the long
hours and thoughtful consideration of the House and Senate members on
the Committee of Conference for HB 2 that enabled us to reach a mutual
agreement on state spending for the next two years. The budget process
is long and complex. It requires us to start with reliable revenues
estimates, to focus on priorities and to separate wants from needs,
which is exactly what we did.”
