Hi John xxxxxx
I've said it, you've likely said it, "Nothing shocks us anymore with this administration."
But in truth, we are shocked time and time again as hate, racism and sexism continue to pervade the American conversation. We are shocked because though now frequent, it is so fundamentally un-American and it is coming from our elected leaders.
Yesterday, the House voted to condemn President
Trump's racist remarks. Only four Republicans supported the measure. Our Congressman David Schweikert voted against it.
He is allowing racism. By his silence and his vote, David Schweikert is condoning this.
We must remember this and use it as the fuel to oust him once and for all in 2020. Will you stand with me in solidarity with our progressive Congresswomen?
Can you help me send David Schweikert packing with a $10 or $25 donation today?
The trope "go back to where you came from," evokes painful memories and stories for so many. The words are even unlawful according to Federal Employment law.
An employer can not make "go back" remarks to a worker or potential hire, but David Schweikert is fine with the President of our great country saying this to elected leaders?
He is allowing the hateful rhetoric against people of color to continue. It happens to us in public spaces and online. It is painful, divisive and dangerous.
