Donald Trump put profit over the safety of our people and the health of our planet for four straight years. He allowed an oil tycoon to nearly run the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) into the ground, pulled our country from the Paris Climate Agreement, sold public land to the highest bidder, and rolled back key methane emission regulations.

Now that he's out of office, we can finally start addressing the problems he created. That's why Diana's made it her mission to pass more climate-centered policies, like the Methane Waste Prevention Act.

This bill just passed the House and will restore Obama-era methane regulations. It requires oil and gas companies to capture 99% of methane emissions that they produce instead of letting this gas be released directly into the atmosphere.

Her bill doesn't just mitigate the climate crisis and reduce the amount of methane released into the atmosphere -- it will move us toward green energy. Methane can be used to heat homes and power businesses if captured correctly and not released directly into the atmosphere.

Diana's bill is an important step toward protecting our planet -- and it's heading to President Biden's desk for his signature.
