Hello John,

Please join me, Kirk Higgins and our special guest, historian and author Craig Bruce Smith ([link removed]) , next Wednesday, October 16 at 4 p.m. ET for a free 45 minute webinar: Teaching History in Tumultuous Times: The Importance of Studying US History ([link removed]) .

Dr. Smith is an assistant professor of military history at the School of Advanced Military Studies at the US Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He authored American Honor: The Creation of the Nation’s Ideals during the Revolutionary Era ([link removed]) and co-authored George Washington’s Lessons in Ethical Leadership ([link removed]) .

Also joining us will be Tracey Downey ([link removed]) , a veteran educator and member of BRI's Teacher Council who currently teaches social studies at Ridge Community High School in Davenport, Florida.
