Friends— June is LGBTQ Pride Month, and as a queer person, I know that LGBTQ liberation is a critical part of the fight to end violence. I am proud that as an organization, we affirm this year-round, and we know that our communities can't be safe if LGBTQ people continue to be at risk of violence, particularly Black transgender people. To celebrate Pride Month, we are highlighting the LGBTQ leaders in our movement and uplifting their work for our special Pride Month Building Community Call June 29, 2021 at 3:00 pm ET.
Join us to hear from Kei Williams of the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, Destini Philpot, of Good Kids Mad City Baltimore, and artist-activist Keyonna Jones.
We hope you can join us to learn more from our amazing speakers, and to hear about the historic federal and local policy updates this month, including the introduction of the Break the Cycle Act, and what's next from our policy and advocacy teams. RSVP here today! Happy Pride! Organizing Associate |
