John, it's been TWELVE years since the minimum wage was raised in Pennsylvania:
- Nearly as long as President Franklin D. Roosevelt's time in the White House.
- Longer than King Tut's entire reign.
- About twice as long as World War II lasted.
- And, around the time the Phillies won their last World Series!
Pennsylvania's minimum wage has sat at $7.25 an hour since 2009 -- and it's about darn time lawmakers raised it. Dwight proudly co-sponsored the Raise The Wage Act. And he fought for (and secured!) the House's commitment to include a $15 federal minimum wage in pandemic relief.
If we're going to build our nation back stronger than before the pandemic, Congress needs to stand with American workers and give them a much-deserved raise. Add your name to join Dwight in demanding Congress raise the federal minimum wage »
Thank you,
Team Evans
Dwight is an activist congressman, fighting for civil rights, economic opportunity, quality education, and safer neighborhoods. Block by block, he is working to revitalize neighborhoods across Pennsylvania. Chip in today to help power his campaign.
