John,

The Department of Justice is suing Georgia over its voter suppression bill, saying it targets Black voters.

As President Biden would say, this is a BFD!

Now, here is the problem: The DOJ is suing Georgia under the Voting Rights Act. But since the Supreme Court gutted the VRA in 2013, we will be limited in court. That’s why we need the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. We need to give the DOJ the power it needs to stop these attacks on our civil rights.

If you agree, please chip in $25 so we can pass the John Lewis Act in the Senate.

We have a phenomenal team in the DOJ. Thanks to Democrats' slim majority in the Senate, we were able to confirm Assistant Attorneys General Kristen Clarke and Vanita Gupta. If not for Rev. Sen. Warnock and Sen. Kelly, we wouldn't have lawyers on our side to sue Georgia for their racist voter suppression law.

We cannot allow Republicans to regain control of the Senate. If that happens, we can say goodbye to voting rights advocates in the DOJ.

If you want to help us protect and expand our Senate majority, please chip in $25:

Vote From Home
------------
Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $39 so consider donating that today to support voting rights: [link removed]
