John,
Let me level with you: We have multiple candidates already in the Democratic primary. Right now, our message as the best candidate to take on Ron Johnson is at risk of being drowned out.
This isn’t because our message isn’t effective, or because we don’t have a message that is supported by most hard-working Wisconsinites.
Remember this poll? ↓↓↓
I grew up in Little Chute and have spent my life in the Fox River Valley so unlike Ron Johnson and some of my opponents, I don’t know too many Wall Street CEOs nor can I self-fund.
So our campaign truly relies on YOU.
While that does mean you’ll get a lot of emails from my team and I, it also means that we are running a people-powered grassroots campaign that serves nobody besides the hard-working people of Wisconsin.
John, I’m guessing you know where this email is going. We have a vital end-of-quarter deadline coming up on Wednesday. We must raise $30,000 by Wednesday at midnight to keep pace with Ron Johnson and our self-funding opponents. Can you help us keep pace by chipping in now?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately. |
One of the reasons we have to work hard for every dollar that we raise is because we are a unabashedly, progressive campaign that:
- Is pro-union (I even wrote a book about how I saved the local paper mill in my home state)
- Supports Medicare For All & a Green New Deal
- Wants to kill the filibuster to get progressive policies passed
- Will fight to break up Wall Street banks that are too big to fail
- Wants corporate money out of our politics
- Will make sure the rich pay their fair share in taxes. The Jeff Bezoses of the world have enough megayachts
I’ll say it one more time, this is the most vital deadline of this campaign yet. We must show all of our opponents that we have a grassroots army behind us.
We need to show them that we are beyond billboards on Highway 41, we are a people-powered grassroots campaign that will deliver Wisconsin from Ron Johnson.
Can you help us do just that by chipping in now?
Thank you for stepping up,
Tom Nelson
