** 1.2 million LGBTQ adults in the US identify as nonbinary
------------------------------------------------------------

An estimated 11% of LGBTQ adults in the U.S.—approximately 1.2 million people—identify as nonbinary. Using data from two nationally representative surveys, Generations ([link removed]) and TransPop ([link removed]) , researchers examined the demographics and characteristics of LGBTQ adults in the U.S. ages 18-60 who identified as nonbinary in terms of their gender. Results show that approximately 58% of all nonbinary LGBTQ adults are cisgender and 42% are transgender. The majority of nonbinary LGBTQ adults are under age 29, urban, and white.

** New report and data interactive on LGBTQ people in the US
------------------------------------------------------------
Another study of data from Generations ([link removed]) and TransPop ([link removed]) examines similarities and differences across a variety of LGBTQ-relevant topics, such as relationships and parenting, victimization, and health. Results are presented for subgroups of LGBTQ people—GBQ cisgender men, LBQ cisgender women, transgender people, and all LGBTQ people combined.

** 476,000 transgender adults in the US have no IDs with the correct gender marker
------------------------------------------------------------
Using data from the 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey (USTS), researchers estimate 476,000 transgender adults in the U.S. are without any form of identification with the correct gender marker. Michigan has the highest percentage of transgender adults without an ID that lists the correct gender (78%), and Delaware has the lowest (31%).
