NEW YORK PRIMARIES
Results are slowly trickling in for our New York candidates. While it will be sometime before we have final numbers, there’s still a good chance that LGBTQ representation on the New York City Council will grow [[link removed]] !
Victory Fund Political Manager Alex Gabriel joined our candidates on the trail [[link removed]] – check it out!
Two out candidates have already declared victory: Erik Bottcher in NYC Council District 3 [[link removed]] and Tiffany Cabán in NYC Council District 22 [[link removed]] ! Read Erik’s thank you to his team and supporters here [[link removed]] .
Things are also looking good for Chi Ossé in NYC Council District 36! He took a minute to celebrate with staff and supporters [[link removed]] while waiting for final results [[link removed]] .

PRIDE MONTH ENDORSEMENTS
Victory Fund rolled out two more slates of 2021 and 2022 endorsements last week [[link removed]] . We’re excited to endorse amazing incumbents, including candidates for U.S. Congress and key state legislative seats around the country! [[link removed]] !
Michele Rayner-Goolsby has jumped into the race for Florida’s 13 th Congressional district! Watch her first ad and learn about her historic campaign here [[link removed]] (she could be one of the first out Congressmembers from the South!).
In Maryland, Heather Mizeur is running against incumbent Andrew P. Harris, and he’s already on the offensive after Heather outraised him in the first quarter [[link removed]] .
We elevated Vincent Solomeno to Spotlight status in his race for New Jersey state Senate, District 13! Vincent will make history as the first out LGBTQ member of the New Jersey state Senate. Watch his first campaign ad here [[link removed]] .
Another endorsee, Don Guardian , is running to restore LGBTQ representation to the New Jersey General Assembly! Read up on his race in District 2 [[link removed]] .
Kevin James has thrown his hat into the ring in the 2022 race for Los Angeles City Attorney. He spoke to Los Angeles Magazine about his race and future plans for the city [[link removed]] .
Sheila Nezhad , running for mayor of Minneapolis, MN, spoke with Vanity Fair’s Inside the Hive podcast about her work as an activist and vision for the city in the wake of George Floyd’s murder [[link removed]] .

U.S Congressman Ritchie Torres ’s first bill, which supports LGBTQ business owners and enforces fair-lending laws, just passed in the U.S. House [[link removed]] !
Matthew Wilson is ready to make history as the first out LGBTQ person elected statewide in Georgia. Learn about his race for Insurance Commissioner during his ad, “Georgia Pride” [[link removed]] .
Danica Roem , running for reelection in Virginia’s 13 th House District, joined CNN to call for more trans people to run and encourage LGBTQ youth to engage in politics [[link removed]] .
