It's 2021, and we can't believe we have to say this but: it's TRULY time to add the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to the U.S. Constitution because guaranteeing equality of rights under the law — no matter your gender — should have happened decades ago.

Reproductive freedom isn’t just about abortion — it’s about everyone having the rights and access we need to make healthcare decisions about our own bodies. We all deserve to live, work, and raise our families in communities free from harm, and guaranteeing equal rights under the law is critical to accomplishing that goal.

Over 50 years AFTER Congress passed the ERA, the Senate finally has the opportunity to amend the Constitution. And you know what that means: a Mitch McConnell-led filibuster — which can only be defeated by 60 votes in the Senate — could derail our efforts to secure a vote on the Senate floor.

We can't let the filibuster stop the ERA.

Not only will the filibuster shut down any possibility of amending the Constitution with the ERA, but it will shut down any chance to expand voting rights, reproductive rights, any gun violence legislation, racial justice, immigration reform, and basically any progressive policy.

This should be simple.
