John: In my home state of Delaware, we are seeing Affordable Care Act rates drop ahead of this year’s open enrollment period. It shows very clearly that, when the ACA is implemented as intended, patients and consumers benefit.
I have said this for a long time: We should be improving and building on the Affordable Care Act -- not trying to dismantle it.
But that’s precisely what Republicans are still trying to do. Sign your name before midnight tonight and tell Republicans to stop their attacks on health care.
When we implement the ACA the way it was intended to work, more people have access to quality, affordable health care, including the millions living with pre-existing conditions. That’s what this has always been about.
Still, the Trump Administration and Republicans have tried to rip affordable health care away from for millions of Americans at every turn -- through Congress and through the courts. They’ve ignored the Americans who have told them that they want to keep their insurance and they’ve ignored the Americans who depend on its life-saving benefits.
The Affordable Care Act is working -- but that doesn’t mean Republicans’ attacks will stop. That’s why we have to keep speaking out in defense of the ACA.
Will you join me? Add your name to mine before the midnight deadline and tell Republicans to stop attacking affordable health care for millions of Americans.
All the best—
TC
