Hi John,

Transitioning to zero-emission vehicles will create American jobs, protect our climate and save lives. But to successfully modernize our transportation sector, states across the country need to be able to set more protective standards for vehicular air pollution.

This is only possible if the Environmental Protection Agency overturns dangerous Trump policies! Tell the EPA to restore state leadership on vehicle pollution regulation.

We need to see bold action from both the public and private sectors! Send a powerful message to the EPA supporting California’s Advanced Clean Car standards before the comment deadline ends on July 6th!

The Clean Air Act directs EPA to grant California special permission to set more protective standards for vehicular air pollution, and then allows other states to adopt California’s standards. However in 2019, the Trump Administration took the unprecedented and unlawful step of revoking that waiver — impeding innovation for zero-emission cars, trucks and SUVs.

The EPA needs to reconsider and reinstate this waiver so that California can resume its traditional role in setting vehicle emission standards – including greenhouse gas standards – that move the whole country forward.

Cleaning up our transportation system is critical to putting ourselves back on the path to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. Urge the EPA to overturn dangerous Trump policies that hold us back!

Thank you for being a climate champion,
