Hi John --

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and the rest of the reality-denying Republican Party are looking for any reason to avoid responsibility for the more than 400,000 Americans who died to COVID-19 while they held the White House and Senate.

Recently, Paul got on Fox News to spin one of his favorite stories about the origin of the virus. During that interview, Paul baselessly stated that COVID-19 “in all likelihood, came from a lab,” blaming China. Paul is continuing to peddle this conspiracy theory despite the fact that there is no conclusive evidence to support it.

The reality is that regardless of the origin, Rand Paul, Donald Trump, and the rest of the Republican Party botched the United States' response to COVID-19, undermined our scientific community, and over 400,000 people died as a result. No matter where this virus came from, it arrived, and Republicans like Rand Paul did nothing.

This denial of reality and science is going to get more of us killed as the virus lingers in pockets around the country and new variants develop. Fortunately, we have the chance to send Paul back to Kentucky and take away his platform that allows him to traffic his dangerous claims.

In 2022, Charles Booker is taking on Paul in the Kentucky Senate race. Charles Booker is a strong, principled progressive from Louisville who has what it takes to beat a formidable opponent in a red state. But he's going to need to start getting his message out early and often if he wants to stand a chance. For that, we need your help today.

You made our historic wins in 2020 possible. Together, we're going to do the same in 2022, starting with the great state of Kentucky and its next senator, Charles Booker. Thank you.
