From the Miami Herald Editorial Board: "Rubio calls it 'crazy nonsense.' To Black and brown people, health inequity is dead serious."
After the American Medical Association announced it would address racism and social justice in medicine, Sen. Marco Rubio accused the association of "falling victim" to "crazy nonsense."
The racial inequity of the maternal health crisis isn't "crazy nonsense." It's an epidemic hurting Black and brown communities across our state – and our country.
We deserve a senator who will stand up for every mom in Florida – but right now, we have a so-called leader in Marco Rubio who takes cheap political shots at the expense of the mothers and babies experiencing inequity in our health care system.
It's time we replace Marco Rubio with stronger, more compassionate leadership that's right for all Floridians. That's why Congresswoman Val Demings is running to defeat him, but she can't do it without your support. In the wake of these attacks, will you help us raise $10,000 before midnight to defeat Marco Rubio?
Rush a donation of $5 or more now to help Val Demings flip Florida blue and protect our Democratic Senate majority!
