It looks like yet another Republican is jumping into the race to beat Reverend Warnock for a Georgia Senate seat. Herschel Walker released a video this week indicating he’s running, and he’ll be tough to beat.
He’s a big fan of Donald Trump, who encouraged him to run. The Atlanta Tea Party has already confirmed their support for him. He’ll have the far-right fundraising machine at his disposal. Republicans desperately want to beat Rev. Warnock, and candidates like Walker are clamoring into the primary.

No loss hurts Trump more than losing in Georgia. Not only did he lose the state during the presidential election, but he allowed Republicans to lose the two Senate seats in the state as well. He wants revenge, and it looks like his handpicked candidate is about to jump into the mix.
Democrats have a razor-thin margin in the Senate. We can’t afford to lose even one seat. But if we put the resources into this race early, we can beat the Republicans and continue working to pass legislation that puts more money in working families’ pockets, fixes our nation’s infrastructure, and expands health care.
