John, it’s 5 PM on June 24, 2021 and LGBTQ+ men still cannot donate blood.

The Food and Drug Administration banned LGBTQ+ men from donating blood at the height of the AIDS crisis, and the discriminatory ban exists to this day.

Earlier this year, I signed on to a resolution calling for the end of this practice, and I’m hoping you’ll add your name in support, John » [[link removed]]

I was an early survivor of COVID-19, which means I had valuable antibodies to contribute.

But despite severe blood shortages across the country, I was prohibited from contributing blood solely because of my sexuality.

This ban has real life consequences, John. Please, I hope you’ll stand with me during this Pride month and call on the FDA to end this discriminatory ban » [[link removed]]

Thank you,

-- Ritchie
