It couldn’t be any clearer: The Republican Party is not governing in good faith.
I understand your deeply-held desire for bipartisanship. I too wish that ALL elected leaders -- Democrat and Republican -- stood up for Democracy.
Even with your concerns regarding the For the People Act, you voted to proceed to debate because that’s where a compromise could be made.
But the Republican Party isn’t willing to debate or compromise. Their sole mission is to obstruct all Democratic progress until they retake control.
Our Democracy is under attack, Senator, and we have no recourse to defend it with the archaic filibuster still in place.

You swore an oath to defend our Democracy at all costs, and the Republican Party has waged an all-out war against it.
You’ve done all that you could to initiate bipartisanship and compromise, but it’s painstakingly clear now that the GOP has no interest.
I urge you to do your duty and DEFEND the very core of our Democracy, and that requires ending Republicans’ abuse of the filibuster.
