John,

Earlier this month, the DC Council took action to end the sale of flavored tobacco products that the industry uses to target our kids and Black communities. But one more vote is needed to pass this life-saving policy.

The Council will hold the final vote this Tuesday (6/29).

This is it. We've worked for two years to get to this point, and now we have to take it over the finish line – and make sure that the council doesn't allow any amendments to weaken the bill.

So, one more time:

Send a message to your DC council members today asking them to pass the bill to end the sale of flavored tobacco products – with no weakening amendments >>

Please ask your friends and colleagues to do the same.

Between now and Tuesday’s vote, we’re doing everything possible to ensure every council member is informed on what's at stake and is prepared to side with kids over Big Tobacco.

I'll let you know the outcome on Tuesday.

Thanks for your advocacy,

Meghan Kissell
Director, Mid-Atlantic Region
