Update from the rally organizers:
On Friday, June 25, Tamir Rice would be turning 19. He would be blowing out candles on a cake and making a wish. Instead his mother Samaria Rice has only one wish: justice.
Organizers and supporters in both Cleveland and Washington DC are rallying behind her and will hold demonstrations to amplify her call for the DOJ to reopen the case against Tamir’s killers.

With the sentencing of Derek Chauvin being delivered on June 25, we are seeking justice for Cleveland’s George Floyd. Convictions of these officers would help end police impunity for anti-Black violence in the United States and bring the Rice family much needed peace.
