Angelica was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and her story resembles that of many in her community. Born to working class immigrant parents who instilled in her the value of hard work, she was proud to be the first in her family to graduate from college. Angelica is now a career activist and community organizer, and a busy mother of five.
Angelica has served as councilwoman on the Sun Valley Area Neighborhood Council, where she led as both vice president and president. She helped form a union to protect tenants’ rights, and most recently led protests at the Sun Valley LADWP Generating Station to demand a transition to 100% renewable energy by 2030.
With a platform that includes Medicare for All, Tuition-Free College and passing a Green New Deal, Angelica is fighting for the policies we care about the most!
