Down in Texas, Republican Governor Greg Abbott announced his intentions to build his own wall along the Mexican border.
Just like Trump’s infamous border wall, this is just another xenophobic policy meant to stir up anti-immigrant sentiment and criminalize immigration.

Gov. Abbott’s proposed border wall proves just that, and he’s been no stranger to cruel immigration policy. The Republican has made cracking down on immigration and border security core pillars of his tenure as governor of Texas.
Now, he’s caving to the extreme right-wing faction of his party with this vanity border wall — even if it costs billions of dollars in state and crowdfunded resources.
