I made a difficult decision this week, and I need to tell you about it.

We were meeting to discuss our budget, specifically paid media, and it became clear that if we had a bit more money, we could launch an expanded tv ad buy and hopefully put Gavin Newsom in an even better position to beat this recall.

The money wasn’t fully budgeted, but I gave the green light.

It was a risk. We definitely can’t get caught flat with Republicans able to contribute literally unlimited sums of money to recall Gavin Newsom.

But the bet I made was that if we asked, you’d come through to help us fill the gap before this fundraising deadline ends. So I hope you will — for the Governor. For California.

Can you make a $3 contribution before our official fundraising deadline ends? Time is running out to help us fill the budget gap we created to put ourselves in the best position to win.

Like I said, tough call here. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned since Gavin Newsom launched his campaign to stop the recall, it’s that the people are our strength. You answer the call each time.
