How to take action as an ally, and updates on anti-trans laws

Dear John,

Please join us TODAY for ADL’s Fighting Hate from Home Pride Month webinar“Effective Allyship and Advocacy for the Transgender Community”. Full inclusion for the trans community, and all LGBTQ+ people, is a vital measure of equality that ADL has long worked for.

This webinar’s urgent and vital conversation will provide insights on the transgender experience and the importance of inclusivity, why we need activism and advocacy for the trans, gender non-conforming, and non-binary community and how you can be an effective ally.

Our experts will update you on the record-breaking amount of legislation throughout the country targeting the transgender community, with over 100 bills introduced — more than during any previous legislative session. This wave of bills is particularly dangerous because it takes aim at an especially vulnerable population: transgender youth.

Allison Padilla-Goodman, ADL’s Southern Division VP will introduce the discussion, which will be moderated by Joe Woolley of the Nashville LGBT Chamber. We are honored to have a panel including Greg Green of the Transgender Awareness Alliance, Chanel Haley of Georgia Equality and Drew Mindell of SOJOURN: The Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender and Sexual Diversity. We will also hear from guest speaker Jen Slipakoff, a parent from PFLAG: Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays metro Atlanta chapter.
