I’ve always been proud of the fact that When We All Vote has been first and foremost a people-powered movement.

It was inspiring to watch communities across the country come together to honor Juneteenth with action. This weekend, When We All Vote volunteers held over 50 voter registration events and drove over 1,000 calls to Congress in support of the For the People Act, all while empowering their communities to build a more inclusive democracy.

As elected officials in nearly all 50 states attack our right to vote, it’s critical that we continue the necessary, year-round work to protect Black lives, Black voices, and Black votes -- beyond this Juneteenth. Following the Senate’s failed vote on the For the People Act, we’re ramping up our fight for voting rights like never before. We need all hands on deck as we continue to push for voting reform with our advocacy tools and mobilize our communities in this pivotal moment.
