Republicans used the filibuster to block the For the People Act from moving forward in the Senate.

John, Senate Republicans have yet again set us back in our work to root corruption out of our democracy. And on top of betraying the American people for the umpteenth time, Senator Mitch McConnell admitted he plans to block any of President Joe Biden's Supreme Court picks in 2024.

I won't let history repeat itself. We need to get to work expanding our slim Senate majority right now to stop McConnell from sabotaging this administration. My colleague Rep. Val Demings (FL-10) just announced she's running against Senator Marco Rubio.

National Republicans will spend big to protect Rubio's seat, but Val isn't afraid of a tough fight. She even served as one of the House managers for President Donald Trump's first impeachment trial.
