It’s hard to believe that we’ll be wrapping up the first half of the year soon. It seems like just yesterday we were counting down the final minutes of 2020!
Congressman Carbajal and his colleagues have had a busy year so far. In short, over the last six months they were able to:
Pass the American Rescue Plan to provide COVID relief to millions of Americans
Pass the For the People Act to expand voting rights and restrict the amount of money in politics
Pass the Dream and Promise Act to give Dreamers and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders protections and opportunities
Establish Juneteenth as a federal holiday to commemorate the end of slavery and celebrate Black lives and liberation
In addition, they have been working on issues like investing in our nation’s infrastructure, combating climate change and addressing gun violence.
