John, the walls are closing in on Donald Trump.
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance and New York Attorney General Letitia James are now working together to investigate Trump's “corporate and personal fraud charges,” according to The Washington Post. An indictment is expected to come soon.
Trump has evaded the law for years, running a criminal enterprise from New York and then the White House. Congress failed to hold him accountable -- now this failed president is finally facing the possibility of jail time.
But as Jane Mayer recently highlighted in the New Yorker, “Florida's Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, an ally, might not honor an extradition request from New York if a bench warrant were issued for Trump's arrest.”
Trump still has time to go back to hiding in Mar-a-Lago if Vance and James don't act now to indict him. We want to show New York investigators that the American people demand accountability. So, John, please tell us where you stand:
