All around the globe, June has been one for the record books.

Palm Springs, California tied its all-time high temperature. Moscow is the hottest it’s been in June since 1901. Monday was the hottest June day ever seen in Helsinki, Finland at 89 Fahrenheit (31.7 Celsius). Even South Africa saw overnight winter temperatures in the 70s F (over 25 C).

And the summer’s just getting started. Wildfires have already started in the U.S. West. Hurricane season is around the corner. The ravages of climate change are everywhere and yet we still have people who deny the threat, who say that humanity has no impact on the planet.
