We must protect those who protected us.

As the U.S. military withdraws from Afghanistan, our allies urgently need our help. More than 18,000 Afghans who risked their lives to serve the U.S. mission (and their more than 70,000 family members) are at grave risk if left behind. We cannot stand idly by.

Time is running out!
Join us in Washington, DC on Thursday, July 1 as we call on the White House to immediately evacuate our Afghan allies to safety.

The Save Our Afghan Allies rally, hosted by Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, International Refugee Assistance Project, and Human Rights First, will feature remarks from Afghan Special Immigrant Visa holders, American veterans, members of Congress, faith leaders, and immigrant and refugee advocates. Can't make it to DC? Take action now!

LIRS has joined several veterans’ groups, resettlement partners, and members of Congress to create a call to action for the Biden administration to evacuate Afghan allies at risk of anti-American violence and retaliation. We recently delivered a letter to top White House officials calling for emergency evacuation, and we will continue to put pressure on President Biden until all of our allies are safe. We are now asking people of conscience to join us.
