The way forward is WITHOUT the filibuster.

For our democracy, we must protect every person’s right to vote. But Republicans blocked historic voting rights legislation (the For The People Act) by using the filibuster. Republican voter suppression laws in states across the country threaten free and fair elections in 2022, 2024, and every year beyond.

For our democracy, we must have a commission to fully investigate the deadly January 6 attack on the Capitol. And we must hold all those responsible accountable — especially GOP insurrectionists like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. But Republicans blocked the creation of a January 6 commission by using the filibuster.

It couldn’t be more clear: it’s the filibuster or our democracy. We must respond by getting rid of the filibuster to protect voting rights, preserve our democracy, and take power away from Mitch McConnell in the Senate.
