Yesterday, we told you that Gov. Greg Abbott -- in one of the most brazen attacks on democracy in modern Texas history -- was defunding the Texas legislature.
The same day that Gov. Abbott vetoed the budget for the Texas Legislature, he signed a bill making it easier for him to take taxpayer-funded private jets. We won’t stand for it.
We are mobilizing to hold Abbott accountable and defeat him in 2022. Can you chip in any amount to help us fight back against Greg Abbott's attacks on our democracy?
Greg Abbott might think he's a dictator. But he's not. Let's boot him.

He did it, Jack xxxxxx: Gov. Greg Abbott just cut all funding for the Texas Legislature - one of the most brazen attacks on democracy in modern Texas history.
What this means: As of September 1st, hard-working staff -- everyone from janitors to nonpartisan researchers -- won’t get paid to keep our Legislature running.
That means no one to answer your calls or emails, no pay to research the impact of extremist bills Republicans put forward, and no workers to keep the halls clean and the Legislature running.
Why it’s happening: Greg Abbott is defunding our legislature because he knows that when we have a say in our government, his radical agenda loses.
Let’s remind Greg Abbott that he’s a governor -- not a dictator.
We need to organize to defeat him. Can you chip in any amount to help us fight back against Abbott's attacks on our democracy?
Greg Abbott will do anything to advance his radical agenda that attacks our rights and undermines our voice. Let’s give him the boot.
