Governor DeWine Appoints Knepp to Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)?Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the appointment of Linda M. Knepp to the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division.

Knepp, of Toledo, will assume office on July 6, 2021, and will be replacing Judge Connie Zemmelman.?Knepp must run for election in November 2022 to complete the unexpired term ending January 4, 2025.

Knepp has served as a Magistrate at the Lucas County Probate Court since March 2020. In her prior position, she served as an Assistant Lucas County Prosecuting Attorney in the Juvenile Division.? In 2012, she pursued?an opportunity working with the Adult Probation Department of the Common Pleas Court, where she implemented a program of close supervision in lieu of custodial treatment. During that time, she also facilitated group sessions in cognitive behavioral therapy (?Thinking for a Change?).

Prior to then, Knepp spent 16 years as an Administrative Hearing Officer with the Lucas County Child Support Enforcement Agency.? She also worked three years with the Lucas County Auditor?s Office.

Knepp received her law degree from University of Toledo College of Law, and undergraduate degree from Wayne State University. ??

Knepp currently is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Toledo Bar Association, and a member of University of Toledo Law Alumni Board. Additionally, she is a member of the St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Toledo.
