Look at the image below. Look at the headline. Look at the same politicians -- Mitch McConnell and others -- standing in the way of progress and actively working to subvert our democracy. It's easy to lose hope.

I'll admit, I get frustrated -- a lot. Our democracy, our right to vote, and the ability to have your voice heard are all fundamental to what it means to be an American and what America represents to the world.

But if we give in to despair, if we lose hope, we let them win. We cannot let them win.

We've seen what can happen when we win. In states across the country, Democrats are quietly working to strengthen our democracy, making it easier for people to cast their ballots and play a part in shaping our future.

I don't need to tell you that the stakes are high and the margins are slim. I don't need to tell you that this is important -- that if we miss this opportunity to secure the right to vote and strengthen our democracy, it might be another generation before we can do it again.

But what I will tell you is that the sense of frustration you have doesn't mean you need to give up, it means you -- and all of us -- need to double down on the fight ahead.
