As Democrats come together and work to protect our constitutional right to vote, Republicans such as Jerry Moran and Roger Marshall are determined to roll back all progress on voting reforms and used the filibuster to block debates on the For the People Act. This critical piece of legislation would help modernize our elections, root out corruption, help end partisan gerrymandering, and protect voting rights.

Voting rights are under attack in Kansas and across the country as Republican state legislators continue to propose and pass laws targeting voters who tend to support Democrats. Already this year, Republicans in 48 states including Kansas have introduced at least 389 voter suppression bills. Out of these states, 14 have passed bills restricting voter accessibility. We need the For the People Act now more than ever!
